The most important thing I need first is information about the trigger signal profile of your engine.

Example:

This is a GY6 trigger signal. Credit to member lynnedwards on BuggyNews. Something like this for the Grom would be perfect.

A screenshot or graph like this one from an oscilloscope would be great if you have the means and ability. Or perhaps the service manual from Honda contains something similar, or a description of the trigger signal at least.

I have a Grom throttle body, stock Injector, TPS sensor, and idle control unit all on hand. References to pinouts of each of these would be very helpful as well.

If anyone is interested in doing the legwork in researching these things, please post your findings (and links) below! Thank you.

Here is a link to the service manual for a 2014 Grom. Couldn't find much information on the trigger pulse only peak voltage. There is also a wiring diagram so it should help with figuring out the pin outs.

Do you think I could use this to get some usable information on the trigger signal? It's relatively inexpensive so I don't mind getting it if it helps out.

This is a great idea. How about I buy it, that way I can keep it available for others to use it too. Seems like a very good use of Patreon funds. Once the scope arrives here, I'll check it out to make sure it does what we need. Then I'll write some instructions on gathering the needed information, and will mail the package over to you. How does that sound?

And thanks again for being a Top Contributor through Patreon, it really helps with this kind of thing. (y)

That sounds like a good plan to me. I've never used an oscilloscope before but i'm sure I could learn. The one I linked you seems to be pretty easy to use, I've already looked up videos on it.
